THE OBITUARY OFWilliam Hedrick |
The name of HEDRICK, that of a wealthy family, formerly of Treynor, is lost, as far as relatives know with the death of two members, Charles Hedrick, 58, and William Hedrick, 61, in California within the last few weeks.
William Timm, living three miles southeast of McClelland, son of the only sister of the two Hedrick brothers is the only surviving descendant of the family. His mother died a number of years ago.
Charles and William Hedrick disposed of their interests in the home place about one mile north of Treynor more than twelve years ago and removed to the west, both going shortly to Los Angeles, California, where the two men lived together in a fine home. William never married. Charles had married and divorced.
When Charles passed away, Mr. Timm was notified that it had been the desire of the uncle that he be buried at Treynor. After going to California and bringing the body here for burial, Mr. Timm received a message shortly after the funeral that the other uncle had died and so the only direct descendant of the Hedrick family again was called to California to arrange for funeral here in compliance with the wishes of William the last of the Hedricks.
Mr. Timm is now in California and it is expected will return late this week with the body of William Hedrick.
Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery at Treynor, where the younger brother was buried a few weeks ago.
