Funeral services for Walter H. "Dick" Hesly, 74, will be at the Meyer Chapel Wednesday. The Rev. Claude W. Smith, Jr., pastor of the Minden Congregational Church will officiate. Interment will be at the Minden Cemetery.

A lifelong resident of Minden, he was a longtime farmer. Hesley died Saturday night at a local hospital following an extended illness. His wife, Emma, died in August 1967. Mr. Hesly was a member of the Minden Congregational United Church of Christ.

Survivors include: son, Dwight W., at home, daughter, Mrs. Monroe E. Watson of Shelby, brother Grant of Minden, three sisters, Mrs. Stella (Charles) Kay, Mrs. Bessie (Charles) Wedel and Miss Evelyn Hesly all of Minden, a granddaughter, and two great granddaughters.
