Henry Hesse

Henry Hesse, 80, retired farmer, died at his home 207 First Street, Thursday evening of pneumonia, following a week’s illness.

Mr. Hesse had been a resident of Council Bluffs since 1917, moving here from Earling.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Earling council No. 1741. He was also a member of St. Peter’s Church and of the Holy Name Society.

He is survived by his widow, Amelia; five sons, Henry M., John P., Peter C., Frank J. and Charles M. Hesse all of Earling; four daughters, Sister Mary Laudina, member of the order of St. Francis of Chicago, Catherine M. Hesse of Seattle, and Bertha and Marie C. Hesse of Council Bluffs.

Taken to the Beem-Belford Funeral Home, the body was removed Friday to his residence. Sunday it will be taken to the home of his sons, John and Frank Hesse of Earling. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at Earling.
