THE 1891 BIOGRAPHY OF

F. G. Hitchcock


F.G. HITCHCOCK, a member of Hose House Fire Department, No. 3 Council Bluffs, was previously a member of the volunteer department from 1879 to 1888.

He was born in 1860, in New York State, a son of G.C. and Mary (Smith) Hitchcock, natives of New York State, and of English and Puritan descent.

Mr. Hitchcock was reared in this native State until 1876, when he came to Pottawattamie County.

He was employed in the railroad service for about four years, and in 1888 was elected as fireman in Hose House No. 3.

Politically he affiliates with the Republican Party. He was married in 1883, to Miss Eva Cochran a native of this county, and they have two children: Cora and Richard.
