Eva M. Hitchcock

EVA M. HITCHCOCK, aged 50 years, wife of Fire Chief Frank G. Hitchcock, died of complications Thursday morning at her home, 254 West Washington Avenue after an illness of one month.

Mrs. Hitchcock was well known and greatly loved in fraternal and social circles and was always an energetic worker in public activities. She was a member of Harmony Chapter No. 25, Order of the Eastern Star, the Rebekahs and was past guardian of Palm grove No. 11, Woodmen Circle. She was also a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was born in Council Bluffs and had resided here all her life.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Claude Matthai of Omaha; two sons, Richard G. Hitchcock and James G. Hitchcock of this city; a father, R.F. Cochran of this city, and two brothers, J.N. Cochran and William F. Cochran of this city; and two sisters, Mrs. J.C. Dixon and Mrs. Scott C. Johnson of this city.

The funeral will be held from St. Paul's Episcopal Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
