Helen E. Hough, 77, died Wednesday at a local hospital following heart problems. She was a lifelong resident of Council Bluffs. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she taught Vacation Bible School, was a member of the Ladies Sunday School Class and belonged to the womens circle. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau, kept the book of events for the Ladies Farm Bureau meetings, and helped at the bureau's Westfair food booth. She and her husband Raymond recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in February.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Loretta) West of Omaha and Mrs. Michael (Janet) Morgan of Council Bluffs; one sister, Ethel Burleson of Council Bluffs; three brothers, Fred, Eddie and George Owen all of Council Bluffs; and one grandson.
