A resident of Council Bluffs for 67 years, Mrs. Leona James Hurd, 75, 1212 Twenty-third Avenue, died early Tuesday morning following a lengthy illness. She was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Leona Lawson, Owensboro, KY; five sons, John R., Los Angeles, Carl W. and Floyd L. of Omaha, Frank E. and Samuel D., both of Council Bluffs; one sister, Mrs. Amos Burg, Portland, OR, 18 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Meyer Funeral Home is in charge.

Funeral services for Mrs. Leona J. Hurd, 67, who died Tuesday, will be held at the Meyer Mortuary Friday at 2 p.m. Dr. C. Carson Bransby, pastor, of the first Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
