Class Poem:

Still Climbing

The roads of life before us lie

And we must choose our way.

A few will lead to gates of gold

While some will lead astray.

God grant us wisdom in our choice

And strength to do His will.

Whatever the circumstance may be,

Whatever the place we fill.

Each passing day some task begins

Which does not reach an end.

But finds us farther on the way

As climbing we ascend.

So was it when, in childish years,

Our knowledge was begun.

So will it be forever till

The sands of life are run.

For life means work and growth or else

All knowledge were in vain,

And we must keep on going up

Or we fall back again.

Afar life beckons on to us--

We know not yet the way,

But faithfully we'll work and wait

Still climbing day by day.
