THE OBITUARY OFIwen Henry Iwen |
Iwen Henry Iwen, 80, died at Veterans Hospital in Knoxville following an extended illness. He was born near Minden, moved with his parents to the Persia vicinity in 1894 and lived there until 1936 when he moved to Minden. His wife, Olga, died June 27, 1958. Iwen was a member of the United Church of Christ in Minden. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in France at the time of the Armistice.
Survivors include four nieces and two nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at the Church of Christ in Minden. The Rev. Claude W. Smith, Jr., pastor will officiate. Interment will be in the Minden Cemetery. The body may be viewed at the Meyer Chapel in Council Bluffs until Monday and at the church until completion of services. (Jan. 30, 1893-June 29, 1973)
