THE OBITUARY OF

Mrs. Adam Jacobs

Mrs. Adam Jacobs

Word was received in Avoca Tuesday announcing the death of Mrs. Adam Jacobs at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Blanche Frost in Omaha. Mrs. Jacobs had apparently been in the best of health and Tuesday morning went to a nearby store to do some shopping. Mrs. Frost had been caring for her sister's children while her sister was in the hospital and Mrs. Jacobs was caring for the Frost boys. When the boys returned home from school Tuesday afternoon, they found their grandmother on the floor and phoned their mother to come home as "Grandma was unconscious." She had been dead several hours.

Mrs. Jacobs came to Avoca in 1882, her husband being associated with his brothers in conducting a blacksmith and wagon shop for many years, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Frost and Mrs. Marie Mahar, both of Omaha and one son, Harry, of Bakersfield, California who will arrive here friday morning.

The body will be brought to Avoca Friday morning and funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Church at 9:30 a.m. with interment in the Avoca cemetery where her husband is now resting.
