Mary Catherine Jones, 76, 2118 South Eleventh Street, died at her home Friday of a heart disease after several months illness. Mrs. Jones had been a resident of Council Bluffs for 23 years and was formerly of Carson. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Council Bluffs. The body was taken to Beem Belford Funeral Home where it will lie in state until the hour of the funeral. A short service will be held at Beem Belford Chapel, followed by the regular service at the Washington Township church at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Loren works of the First Christian Church officiating.

Surviving are: one son, Eugene Jones, New Market, Iowa; one daughter, Alice Noyes of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Lottie Henry of Macedonia, and Mrs. Nettie Saurens, Carson, Iowa; one brother James Long of Clarinda, Iowa and two grandsons, John Jones of Omaha and Donald McMahon of Council Bluffs.
