Peter H. Jorgensen, 87, of 3230 N. Broadway, retired truck gardener and florist, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Collins. He had been staying with her about a month since he underwent surgery. Born in Denmark, Mr. Jorgensen came to the United States, and Council Bluffs in 1884. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and belonged to Danish Brotherhood 10 for more than 60 years.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Raymond A. (Grace) Jensen and Mrs. Earl (Mabel) Collins both of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Bernard E. (Alfreda) Howell of Gardena, CA, and Mrs. Frank (Geraldine) Hegr, Jr. of Madison, NE. Four sons: William H., Police Capt. George A. and City Fireman Charles B., all of Council Bluffs, and James P. of Tucson, AZ; three sisters, Mrs. Anna King, Mrs. Antonie Hansen and Mrs. Olga Nelsen all of Council Bluffs; 25 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
