Emma M. Kaven, 101, of Minden, died Friday at a Council Bluffs hospital. She was the widow of William O. Kaven who died in August 1967. Mr. Kaven was a contractor in the Minden area. Mrs. Kaven was a member of the United Church of Christ in Minden, the church's women's fellowship and the American Legion Auxiliary. She had been a resident of the Colonial Manors Nursing Home in Avoca for the last three years.

Mrs. Kaven is survived by three sons, LaVerne of Avoca, Orvel of Minden and Harley of Omaha; 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, and a sister, Clara Lidolph of Littleton, CO.
