Granville Kemp

G.P. Kemp, 93, a resident of Pottawattamie County for sixty seven years died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Cleveland at Woodbine, Iowa, with whom he had been making his home for the last year. Death was due to old age.

Mr. Kemp was born March 7, 1837 in Beverly County, Virginia. He was engaged in farming Pottawattamie county for thirty seven years when he moved to Council Bluffs and resided here for thirty years.

His body was removed to a mortuary at Woodbine pending funeral arrangements which will be completed Sunday, according to his son, W.F. Kemp, 2101 Avenue D.

He is survived by his widow, Julia Kemp, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services for G.P. Kemp, 93, who died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Cleveland of Woodbine, IA, were to be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Cutler Chapel with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
