Pfc. Clarence R. King

Pfc. Clarence R. King, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude King of Oakland, was killed August 2 in the southwest Pacific area, the war department has informed his parents. Pfc. King entered the army January 28, 1942, was trained at Camp Walters, Texas, and shipped to Hawaii. He left Hawaii in December 1942 for the battle area. (Burial location unknown)
