THE OBITUARY OFJennie Lieb |
Overcome with illuminating gas, Mrs. JENNIE LIEB, was found by her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Smith late Tuesday evening at her home at 127 South First Street. Mrs. Lieb had been blind for four years. In the kitchen where she was found, one gas jet was turned on and a match, unlighted, was on the floor underneath. Mrs. Lieb's body lay on the floor nearby. Mrs. Lieb was born sixty-five years ago on the same spot where she died. The abode at that early period was a log cabin, where the Smith home now stands. Mrs. Lieb is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Smith and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hendrickson of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska.
