The cemetery is located one mile east of Macedonia, on Iowa Highway 362, about three quarters of a mile west of Iowa Highway 59. The cemetery was started here about 1880 when the town moved from the Nishnabotna River site, to meet the railroad. Previous burials were in the Pioneer Cemetery.
