THE OBITUARY OFJerry Madden |
Woodring's Funeral Home said Saturday the body of 2nd Lt. Jerry A. Madden, 33, former clerk of the municipal court, will arrive here Wednesday. Memorial services will be held at the Broadway Methodist Church on Saturday. The Rev. C.E. Reed will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park. Cobia Lodge and the American Legion will observe graveside rites.
Lt. Madden died May 13, 1944, of wounds received in action in the Italian war zone. He was the son of James A. Madden, 324 Stutsman Street. Born and reared in Council Bluffs, Lt. Madden was graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and later from the University of Nebraska Law School. He was married May 17, 1942 to Lucille Swanson.
Survivors are his widow, Lucille, clerk of the municipal court; a son Jerry A. Madden, Jr., and a daughter, Patricia, both at home; his father James A. Madden; and two sisters, Esther and Ruth Madden, 324 Stutsman.
