William H. Marble, a resident of Council Bluffs for fifty three years, died at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S.E. Spoor on Madison Avenue.

Mr. Marble was 77 years old and death came as the result of a general decline, after an illness of seven weeks. He was an old soldier, a member of the Iowa cavalry, and had been retired from active business for a number of years.

He leaves besides the daughter at whose home he died, four sons, W. J. and F. D. marble of this city, John E. Marble of Napa, California and Dr. Robert E. Marble of Omaha.
