THE OBITUARY OFMrs. Harry Martin |
Mrs. Harry Martin, 59, 245 Benton Street, active in church and school work here and the wife of Harry Martin, manager of the Council Bluffs Grape Growers Association, died Saturday at a local hospital after an illness of six months.
Mrs. Martin was active in the affairs of the First Baptist church, and had served as president of the Woman's Union for many years. She was also a charter member of the Parent-Teacher Association and the Woodmen of the World.
Surviving besides Mr. Martin are four sons, Albert and Leonard of Council Bluffs, Lt. Glen E., somewhere in the South Pacific, and Staff Sgt. Eldo at Spokane, Washington; three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Mae Koerth of Fredericksburg, and Mrs. Virginia O'Hara and Miss Ellen Martin, both at home; and seven grandchildren. The Meyer Funeral Home is in charge.

Funeral services were held Monday, 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. William Allan officiating. Burial was in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Meyer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
