Boyd W. McCartney

Boyd W. McCartney, 62, 622 Mynster, died Monday at a local hospital after an extended illness. Born at Boone, he had resided since 1924 in Council Bluffs. McCartney retired in 1964 after 38 years of service with the Northwestern bell Telephone Co.

Survivors include: widow, Violet; son, James W. of Omaha; daughter, Mrs. Joan Martindale of Council Bluffs; three brothers, A.H. McCartney of Fernley, Nev., R.M. McCartney of Boone and Willard McCartney of Colorado Springs, CO; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Meyer Chapel. The Rev. R.O. Barber, pastor of Dodge Memorial Congregational Church will officiate. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
