Bianca M. McComb, 87, 7 Park Circle, died Tuesday at Jennie Edmundsosn Memorial Hospital. Born in Afton, Miss McComb moved to Council Bluffs in 1917. She was a 1921 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and had a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska.

She was a teacher in the Council Bluffs Community school system for 46 years, teaching at Harrison, Longfellow and Avenue B Elementary schools and at Abraham Lincoln High School. She retired in 1970.

Memberships included the Council Bluffs Federated Woman's Club, P.E.O. Chapter G.Q., Eastern Star Harmony Chapter 25, Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital Woman's Christian Association and friends of the Council Bluffs Free Public Library. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church and the United Presbyterian Women.

Her professional memberships included the Iowa State Education Association, Council Bluffs Retired Teachers Association, Iowa Retired Teachers Association and National Retired Teachers Association.

Her closest relatives are cousins in Missouri, Texas, Montana and California.

Service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Meyer Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Matsumura of First Presbyterian Church, and The Rev. Howard B. Dooley, former pastor of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. P.E.O. Chapter G.Q. rites will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Order of the Eastern Star Harmony Chapter rites at 7:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church, the Visiting Nurses Association or the Public Library.
