Miss Elizabeth McCreary, about 44 years old was asphyxiated by gas in her home. Both Coroner Cutler and Chief of Police Vien investigated the death and declared it accidental.

Miss McCreary had been employed by the Woodward Candy Co. for years and has a large number of relatives living in and near the city.
