James P. McMahon

Graveside services for JAMES P. McMAHON, 83, OF Whittier, California, will be held Thursday at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Council Bluffs. The body will arrive Wednesday at the Beem-Belford Funeral Home. McMahon died Saturday at Whittier after a long illness. He was a former Council Bluffs resident and bookkeeper with the former Harle-Haas Wholesale Drug Company. He was later with the Council Bluffs Gas Company and several federal agencies. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Societies in Council Bluffs, and St. Mary's Catholic Church of Whittier. Funeral Mass will be held there Tuesday morning.

Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Fred Parker of South Gate, California, Mrs. Martin McClung of Whittier and Mrs. Edward LeMeur of Bellflower, California; two sons, Robert J. of Hermosa Beach, California and Gerald F. of Anchorage, Alaska. Two sisters, Mrs. Helen Burke of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Marie Martin of Santa Susana, California; a brother, Charles McMahon of Joshua Tree, California; and 10 grandchildren.
