THE OBITUARY OFGeorge Dewey McSorley |
George Dewey McSorley, 19, whose death in France from pneumonia was announced by cable this evening, was the son of Mrs. Ed McSorley of this city, twenty second avenue and ninth street, and was a member of Company I of Glenwood.
He tried to enlist with Company L, but that organization was full and he was sent to Glenwood. He leaves besides his father and mother, five half brothers and two half sisters, and a step father, Ed McSorley.
The family at this time is quarantined with smallpox and had received no notifiction of the boy's death except that from The Nonpareil this evening.

George D. McSorley, a member of Company I of Glenwood and died January 24, 1918 of pneumonia contracted on the way across the Atlantic.

Joint Funeral For 168th Bodies
A joint funeral service for the three former members of the 168th Infantry, whose bodies will arrive Friday morning will be held Sunday afternoon in Bayliss Park, or if weather demands, in the Armory, with former comrades in charge. The bodies are those of RALPH DAVIS, IVAN SWEENY AND GEORGE McSORLEY.
