The many friends of Henry Meyers were shocked yesterday on learning of his death, which occurred at 2 o'clock yesterday morning. Only a few of his intimate friends knew that he had been suffering since the middle of February last from that dread disease, consumption, which had made such rapid progress that it resulted in his death at the time stated.

Henry Meyers had been a resident of Council Bluffs for many years, and was well known in musical circles, having for a long time been connected with the Bavarian Band and orchestra of this city.
