The funeral of the late GEORGE D. MONROE took place yesterday morning from the St. Francis Xavier's Church, the Rev. Father B.P. McMenomy officiating.

There was a large concourse of friends in attendance. The services both at the church and at the grove were very solemn and according to the ritual of the church.
