Alice A. Moran

Mrs. ALICE A. MORAN, 65, 718 Seventh Avenue, died late Thursday at her home. She had suffered a heart ailment for several years. She was the widow of Harry C. Moran, Sr., a railroad man and former member of the City Civil Service Commission. A native of Neola, Mrs. Moran had lived here more than 45 years. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and Altar Society, the Christ Child Society, St. Joseph's Neola Alumni and Chicago great Western Auxiliary. Long active in civil affairs, Mrs. Moran headed the residential division of the annual Community Chest Drive in 1950. The previous year she headed Chest workers for four school districts. During World War II, she headed a citywide scrap metal drive to aid the war production board. She was a committeewoman with the Democratic Party here many years.

She is survived by: four daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Billingsley of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Frederick Morris of The Hague, Netherlands, Mrs. Bernard C. Maxwell of Canton, Illinois and Mrs. Richard Enzminger of Wichita, Kansas; son Harry E. Moran, Jr. of Des Moines; sister, Mrs. Fay McMullen of Council Bluffs; three brothers, O.J. Pruitt of Council Bluffs, Austin Pruitt of Long Beach, California and Ben Pruitt of Earlham; and nine grandchildren.

The Beem-Belford Funeral Home is in charge.

Requiem Mass

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Mrs. Alice A. Moran, 65, 718 Seventh Avenue at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church. Msgr. James P. Danahey will be the celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

The body will be taken from the Beem-Belford Funeral Home to the residence Sunday Morning. Rosaries will be recited on Sunday at the residence at 3:30 p.m. by the Christ Child Society; at 8 p.m. by the St. Francis Altar Society; and at 8:15 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus.

Mrs. Moran died Thursday at her home of a heart ailment.
