THE OBITUARY OFMamie Moran |
Mrs. MAMIE MORAN, 83, Route 1, Honey Creek, died Friday at a Council Bluffs hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Logan, but had spent most of her life in Pottawattamie County. She was the widow of Leo D. Moran, who died in 1971, a member of St. Patrick's Church and its Altar Society, Royal Neighbors of America and Mercy Hospital Alumnae. She was a graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Wendell Grady of Dunlap and Mrs. Paul Waters of Phoenix, Arizona; four sons, Thomas L. of Amarillo, Texas, Joseph of Honey Creek, Paul of Denver, Colorado and Dale of Phoenix, Arizona. Four sisters, Grace living in California, Pearl Taylor of Wheaton, Illinois, Inez Pike and Bernice Christensen, both of Council Bluffs; one brother, Bernard Thomas, living in California; 30 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick’s Church with the Rev. Gerald J. Stessman, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Rosary recitation will be at 8 p.m. Sunday with a Christian wake service at 8 p.m. Monday at the Beem-Belford Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to the Bishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation, Mercy Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
