We are informed that two of the children in Mr. Monroe's family died from a sickness with diptheria yesterday morning and that another child of the same household was sick with the same ailment. Mr. Monroe is a carpenter in the employ of Mr. Frank Grass.

Note: Maggie’s sister, Anna-age 6, also died on the same date. It’s possible that the obituary is for them, note possible typo on the surname reported in the newspaper.
