Richard C. Orr

Heart disease caused the death Saturday of Richard C. Orr, 59, prominent farmer of McClelland. He died at his home in Norwalk Township. Mr. Orr had been ill only one day. Mr. Orr had been a resident of the McClelland community for thirty three years. He was a member of Amber Lodge A.F. and A.M. and the Modern Woodmen at Quick. He was a native of Indiana.

Surviving are his wife, Gertrude; two sons, Russel and Douglas at home, and four daughters, Mrs. Ralph Murphy of Council Bluffs, Miss Dorothy Orr at home, and Mrs. Clyde Pickering and Mrs. Fred Glissman of McClelland. He leaves three brothers, John Orr of McClelland, Henry Orr of Wheatland, WY, and Andrew Orr of Boomer Township, and three sisters, Miss Kate Orr of McClelland, Mrs. Jim Graves of Osgood, IN, and Mrs. Charles Hukill of Chadron, NE. There are six grandchildren.

The body will lie in state at the residence until the hour of the funeral services will be held at the residence Tuesday at 2 p.m., Rev. C.W. Farwell of Omaha officiating.

Burial will be in Downsville Cemetery. Cutler Funeral Home will be in charge.
