THE OBITUARY OFWilliam R. Owen |
William R. Owen, 75, was dead on arrival at a local hospital following an apparent heart attack. A lifelong resident of Council Bluffs, he was employed by the Maico Hearing Aid Company. He was a member of First Christian Church and the Knights of Pythias of Glenwood, No.43.
He is survived by his widow, Mildred; four sons, Clifford L., Robert L., and Donald W. all of Council Bluffs, Howard F. of Sioux City; a daughter, Mrs. Mary L. Fisher of Council Bluffs; three brothers, Fred, Edward and George all of Council Bluffs; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Hough and Mrs. Ethel Burgelson of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Alice Thorpe of California, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Meyer Chapel with the Rev. Richard D. Hogan, pastor of First christian Church officiating. Graaveside rites will be given by Knights of Pythias at Walnut Hill Cemetery. (Section11, Row 4, May 9, 1896-May 28, 1971)
