The Globe readers and others will be pained to hear of the death of Miss Mary Teresa Patterson, which occurred Friday morning, February 21.

She was aged 25 years and was born in St. Louis, MO, December 8, 1864. She was the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Patterson of James Township. She was a loving and dutiful daughter and by her many noble qualities and amiable disposition she won the hearts of all who knew her.

Her death is mourned by a large circle of friends. She taught school in this county and had been organist in the Catholic Church in Avoca during the last seven years. She was always a faithful and consistent member of the Catholic Church. Her funeral took place on sunday, and was attended by a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends.
