Arthur G. Paulus

Arthur G. Paulus, 76, Portland, OR, died Friday at a hospital there. He was born in Dumfries and lived in Council Bluffs until moving to Portland 10 years ago. Paulus retired in 1959 from the Union Pacific Railroad as assistant building supervisor of the Union Station in Omaha. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Union Pacific Oldtimers Club.

Survivors include his widow, Silver of Portland; a son Robert M. of Portland; six daughters: Marian Ester of Bellevue, NE, Lucile Kilbane of Council Bluffs, Ruth Turner of Tacoma, Washington, Mary Lou Hulbert of Hillsboro, NM, Cheri West of Albuquerque, NM; Niralee Peterson of Hillsboro, NM; 30 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at the Cutler Chapel, Mrs. Lillian Sheiry, reader of the First Church of Christ Scientist will officiate.

Interment will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Cutler Chapel. (1897-1973, Sec. 16, Row 24)
