Mrs. Wier M. Pennell, 72, 400 Franklin Avenue, died Tuesday at a local hospital after an illness of several years. Born at Henderson, she was a resident of Council Bluffs 45 years. She was a member of the reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors are: husband, Charles M.; son, James S. Pennell of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Mrs. Maude Pruitt of Sacramento, CA; sister, Mrs. Winnie Cooper of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
