Martha Schrodt Phillips

Mrs. Martha Schrodt Phillips, formerly a resident of the Bluffs, died April 4 at Rocky Ford, CO. She is survived by her husband and two children her father, Jacob Schrodt of this city, four sisters and three brothers.

The sisters are Mrs. Lena Hoekle of Elgin, Nebraska; Mrs. Sophia Saar and Misses Mary and Lucy Schrodt of the Bluffs. The brothers are Jacob Schrodt of the Indian Territory; Andred Schrodt of Alaska and Louis of Council Bluffs.

The deceased was for several years a teacher in the Pottawattamie County schools and left this city for Colorado about six years ago. Daniel Schrodt, a brother living in Council Bluffs, died during the past week and was interred here, making two deaths in the family during the week.
