Ferdinand (Ferd) D. Pieper, 55, well known Minden business man, died Wednesday at a Council Bluffs hospital following a six week illness. A lifelong resident of Minden, he was associated with Pieper's Meat Market. He was a member of the Minden Congregatinal Church. Mr. Pieper took an active interest in Boy Scout work, athletics, the fire department and business life of the Minden Community.

Survivors include: widow, Carrie; daughter, Mrs. Connie Burns of Denver, CO; son Loren of Minden; five brothers, Alfred and Edmund of Minden, Adolph and Fred of Denver, CO, William of Woodbine; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Stuhr, Mrs. Mathilde Stuhr and Mrs. Helen Reimers all of Minden, and Mrs. Margaret Pearce of Settle, Wash; three grandchildren.
