THE OBITUARY OF

James Pomeroy

James Pomeroy

The remains of James Pomeroy, the man found dead in the yard at the rear of the Pinney and Pusey residences Wednesday morning, will be buried this afternoon at 2 o'clock in Fairview Cemetery.

Undertaker Estep in answer to his telegram notifying Mrs. Pomeroy at Des Moines of her husband's death, received a reply yesterday referring him to Pomeroy's sister in Omaha. Mr. Estep took this to mean that Mrs. Pomeroy did not wish to have anything to do with her late husband and so notified Mrs. Boyer. The latter accordingly made arrangements to give the unfortunate man a decent burial and save him from the potter's field.
