THE OBITUARY OFRoland P. Robinson |
Roland P. Robinson, 79, 406 Glen Avenue, retired credit manager of the former Groneweg & Schoentgen Company, wholesale grocers, died Saturday evening at a local hospital. Mr. Robinson had been ailing, and a week ago was taken to the hospital for treatment of a hip injury.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Cutler Mortuary. Dr. Bransby of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born at Arcola, Illinois, Mr. Robinson came to Council Bluffs in 1890. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Omaha Council Bluffs Credit Mens Association, First Presbyterian Church and formerly was active in Boy Scout work.
He is survived by his widow, Nina K.; a son, Edward R. of Mendota, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. Helen McGee of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Ruth Clark of Yoakum, Texas, and Mrs. Amy McCormick of Mendota; a sister, Mrs. Amy R. Haigt of Jefferson City, Missouri; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
