Jacob Henry Rogers

Jacob Henry Rogers, better known to his friends as "Jake" Rogers, a pioneer stage driver in the days before Council Bluffs had railroads, and for many years thereafter engaged in a transfer and livery business, died of old age at 11:15 o'clock Friday night at his home, 233 Fifteenth Avenue. He had been seriously ill for about three months. He leaves two sons, Edward F. and William Rogers and a brother, John Rogers, all residents of this city.

Mr. Rogers was 74 years old, and was an old soldier, having served in Company C, second regiment Nebraska Volunteer Cavalry in the Civil War. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Woodring Chapel.

Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery. (no gravestone)
