John E. Samms

John E. Samms, 46, 1219 Fourth Avenue, died Tuesday night at the Veterans' Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held at Tyler's Funeral Home friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. V.A. Bloomquist officiating. Burial will be in the Belknap Township cemetery with American Legion services at the grave.

Survivors are the wife, Minnie, three sons, Neal and Martin both of Portland, Oregon, and Lawrence of Council Bluffs; a daughter, Nona, Council Bluffs; a stepson Rodney James of Portland, Oregon, his mother, Mrs. Alice Samms and a sister, Mrs. Mary Jean*, both of Council Bluffs.
