Charles Sanderson
He was born in Sweden in 1839, and was reared to farm life in his native country until seventeen years of age, when he came to America, locating at Princeton, Illinois. He remained there until 1861, when he entered the services of Company D, Seventh Kansas Cavalry, serving four years, after which he came to Iowa. In 1868 he came to Council Bluffs, where he was engaged at teaming until he entered the service of the fire department of this city. Politically he is a staunch Republican, and is a member of the K. of P., No. 17, also of the G.A.R., Abe Lincoln Post, No. 29.
