Martha R. Scott

Mrs. Martha R. Scott, 77, widow of the late Major Alexander Scott, a member of General Totten's staff during the civil war, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Lyons, 1010 Sixth Avenue, death being caused by intercostal neuralgia.

Mrs. Scott had been a resident of this city for twenty eight years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was born in Fountain County, Indiana.

She leaves besides the daughter at whose home she died, a sister, Mrs. H. Cockril of Jefferson, IA, and a brother, J.B. Houser of Hoquaim, Washington.

The funeral will be at the family home, Rev. Marcus P. McClure conducting the services. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
