Joseph H. Sharp

Joseph H. Sharp, 81, for forty one years a resident of Hardin and York Townships, died Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the infirmities of age, at the family home in York Township.

He is survived by his wife and five children: Fred of San Francisco; William of Nebraska; Chester at home; Mrs. Clara Hedges, Garrison, SD; and Mrs. Mary Olsen of Mapleton, IA.

Mr. Sharp was born in Lancaster County, A, May 10, 1835. He was a veteran of the Civil War, serving with Company C, Seventy Ninth Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry.

The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the residence in York Township. Rev. A. Nielsen will conduct the serices. Burial will take place at the Hardin Township Cemetery.
