DANIEL J. SHEA, 51, 409 Park Avenue, owner of Shea's Decorating Company, died suddenly shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday of heart disease at his home. A life time resident of Council Bluffs, Mr. Shea had followed the interior decorating business most of his life. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges, Chamber of Commerce, the local painter's union and St. Francis Xavier Church.
Surviving are his widow, Agnes; six sons, Donald J., William L., Thomas P. and Ronald F., all of Council Bluffs, Terrance J., of Palo Alto, California and Timothy D., who is in the army in Korea; five daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Fent, Mrs. Gordon A. Fox, Joann and Nancy Lee Shea, all of Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Harold A. Willis of Elmira, New York; two sisters, Mrs. Reuben Frost and Mrs. Mary Ellen Longeway, both of Council Bluffs and six grandchildren.
The body is at the Beem-Belford Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Daniel J. Shea, 51, owner of the Shea's Decorating Company will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Requiem Mass will be celebrated by the Rt. Rev. James P. Danahey.
The body was taken from the Beem-Belford Funeral Home Friday afternoon to the residence, 409 Park Avenue where it will lie in state until the hour of the funeral.
