MICHALE ROY SHEA, 51, 1024 Eight Avenue, a railroad employee was found dead in bed at 1:30 a.m. Saturday by his wife, Blanche. Mrs. Shea called police stating she was unable to awaken her husband and requested a doctor. Police rushed a Mercy Hospital intern to the home. The fire department's emergency unit worked on Shea with their resuscitator, but was unable to revive him.

He is survived by his widow, Blanche; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Fry of Council Bluffs and Mrs. George Walsh of Brooksfield, Missouri; four sons, Daniel, Orval, LeRoy and Richard, all of Council Bluffs; two brothers, Thomas and Daniel, both of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ellen Longeway and Mrs. R.O. Frost, both of Council Bluffs, and five grandchildren.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus No. 1045 and Carmen's Union No. 93. The body will be taken from the Beem-Belford Funeral Home to lie in state at the home until the hour of the funeral, which will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Requiem Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. James P. Danahey.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The Beem-Belford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
