JOSEPH WARREN SLOAN, 78, died early Monday morning at his home, 1416 South Eighth Street of complications after a week's illness. He was a resident of Council Bluffs for two years.

He is survived by his widow, Eva; two sons, William R. of Centralia, Washington and Harley O. of Los Angeles, California; four daughters, Mrs. J.H. Adams, Mrs. M.D. Osborn and Mrs. William Fauntz of Council Bluffs and Mrs. S.E. Craven of Los Angeles.

Burial is being planned at Linden, Missouri. The body is at the Tyler & Winslow Mortuary.
