JANE C. SMITH, wife of J.L. Smith, died yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock aged 66 years. Her death was due to a paralytic stroke.

The deceased with her husband lived with a son, G.F. Smith at 124 South First Street. She had been a resident of Council Bluffs since October 1898 at which time removed here from Monroeville, Ohio.

She leaves a husband and three children.

The remains of the deceased will be shipped to Monroeville over the Rock Island this evening.
