THE OBITUARY OFDr. John F. Sprink |
Dr. John F. Sprink, a well known physician was found dead in his private office by his sister, who became alarmed at his failure to return home, and in company with a woman friend had started out to find him. The doctor apparently died before midnight, Dr. Jennings, who was immediately summoned , giving the cause of death as heart failure. Coroner Cutler was notified and took charge of the body, stating after a careful investigration that no inquest would be necessary.
Dr. Sprink attended to his professional duties as usual Saturday and it was not known that he was not in his usual health. He has had trouble with his heart for some time and it is believed that this was aggravated by the excessive heat. Miss Sprink found the door to her brother's office unlocked, and in the private office found the body prone on the floor.
Dr. Sprink was 33 years old and was born in Council Bluffs. He received his early education in the public schools and received a degree of bachelor of arts at St. Benedict's College in Atchison, Kansas, in 1899. In 1905 he completed his medical courses at Creighton University, graduating with high honors. He was unmarried and made his hme with his sister.
He is survived by his three sisters, Mrs. August Spies of Columbus, Nebraska; Mrs. P.J. Emig of Omaha and Miss Helen of this city. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock from St. Peter's Catholic Church, where requiem high mass will be celebrated. The pallbearers will be Dr. Donald Macrae, Dr. Earl Bellinger, Dr. David Carson, Charles Paschel, Patrick McBride and Dr. Bushman of Omaha.
