Last Tuesday, P.J. Stapleton, who serious sickness was mentioned in The Nonpareil recently, died at his home, 1028 West Broadway, at the age of 50 years. He was born in Albany, NY and was married in Omaha to Miss Mary Denny in 1883.

He was a man who made friends of all whom he met and was recognized as one of the local leaders of the peoples’ party.

Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Cora, aged 10 years.

The funeral will be held this afternoon from St. Francis Xavier Church at 3 o’clock. Rev. Fther Smythe officiating. Interment in the Catholic Cemetery. (no gravestone)
